Tell me when will you be mine, macro, macro, macro

Here's the thing - I don't want to shoot flowers and insects (for those of you imagining a six gun, this is a photography blog). But 90% of all macro shots are those two things. Mosses and fungi aren't calling me either.

So this is my conundrum - what to shoot in macro mode? While you would think it might open up a whole new world of possibilities, in fact, ironically, the world shrinks.

I have decided on texture. I want you to almost feel what I'm shooting. Wood, metal, erasers on pencils, stained glass. So here we go (by the way, all shots are with the Olympus 30mm macro lens and focus stacking); kaleidoscope, pencil holder, saxophone keys, metal and stone rooster, mixed bag.
